The 10 federal counts of obscenity have been dismissed against Extreme Associates' Rob Black and wife Lizzie Borden by U.S. District Court Judge Gary Lancaster. But that doesn't mean the case has been won. It is likely the case will be appealed.
The judge writes in his opinion, "We find that the federal obscenity statutes place a burden on the exercise of the fundamental rights of liberty, privacy and speech..."
Black, for his part, tells AVN.com that he's "speechless" with the dismissal.

JANUARY 21--The Oklahoma judge who was forced from the bench last year for using a penis pump in court (among other really gross acts) was charged yesterday with indecent exposure for his judicial indiscretions. Donald Thompson, 58, entered a not guilty plea yesterday to three felony counts during an appearance in Creek County District Court, where he worked until resigning last August. According to the below yucky probable cause affidavit, Thompson exposed himself during three separate 2003 cases (two of which were murder trials). For example, on May 13, while he was presiding over State v. Kurt Arnold Vomberg (who was accused of killing his girlfriend's 21-month-old daughter), Thompson loudly pumped himself up. Two court employees told investigators that they saw Thompson (pictured at left) attach the suction device to his penis, while five jurors reported hearing whooshing sounds, which they thought were coming from either a bicycle pump, blood pressure cuff, or an air cushion on the judge's chair. After a January 7 search of Thompson's former courtroom and chambers yielded items that tested positive for seminal fluid, investigators secured a search warrant to obtain a DNA sample from the ex-jurist. During testimony last year before the Council on Judicial Complaints, Thompson denied masturbating on the bench, using the penis pump, or depositing urine or semen into a wastebasket under his bench. Thompson's demise was triggered by a complaint filed against him last June by the Oklahoma Attorney General, who sought to oust the jurist for a variety of illicit behavior, which the AG detailed in a removal petition. Along with using the penis pump, Thompson also allegedly shaved and oiled his private parts, according to accounts given to state investigators by a clerk, trial witnesses, and a court reporter. If convicted of the indecent exposure counts, Thompson could face a maximum of 10 years in prison on each charge.

ANTWERP HOOKERS DISLIKE BRIGHT LIGHTS

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Antwerp will dim the bright new lights along the Belgian port city's waterfront after prostitutes complained they were putting off potential clients.
"We had some remarks from the prostitutes that there was too much light, both for them and the clients," city council spokesman Jorn Verbeeck said. "We are investigating the possibility of lowering the light there."
Prostitutes complained to city and police officials that the lights installed in December did not give them enough privacy and hurt business, he said.
The port, which tolerates prostitutes in a select few streets near the waterfront, will next week test an electric system to dim the lights, Verbeeck said.
If the test gets the thumbs-up from the city's sex workers, the system will be rolled out across the red light district.

A 50-year-old Reno man told authorities he castrated himself to lower his libido and learned of the procedure on the Internet, police said.
Washoe Medical Center officials cited privacy issues on why they could not release any information on the man.
About 1:30 a.m. Monday, police said the man called 911 and asked for help because he could not stop the bleeding from a self-castration operation.
Reno police and medics responded to the man’s home near Brinkby Avenue and Robinhood Drive, and he was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Hospital officials said the man successfully castrated himself, police reported. No further information was available.
“The man obviously needs some sort of counseling,” Reno police Lt. Ron Donnelly said.

NORRISTOWN -- A 40-year-old Lansdale man has admitted engaging in a lewd act while watching girls play soccer near a local elementary school.
James Cassell, of the 300 block of Greenwood Road, pleaded guilty in Montgomery County Court recently to charges of open lewdness and giving false identification to law enforcement authorities in connection with an Aug. 5 incident near Knapp Elementary School in Lansdale.

Judge William T. Nicholas, who accepted a plea agreement in the case, sentenced Cassell to two months and 12 days already served to 12 months in jail. Cassell also must serve one year of probation.
During the probationary period, he will be monitored by officers of the county probation department’s sex offender unit. Officers will be able to visit Cassell’s residence unannounced and can make various recommendations, including counseling.
According to a criminal complaint filed by Lansdale police, authorities investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on Valley Brook Drive in front of the school shortly before 7 p.m. The person who reported the vehicle told police the driver was slouched in the seat "staring at the young girls playing soccer in the front of the school," according to court documents.
When police arrived at the scene they discovered Cassell, who gave police a false name, sitting in his vehicle. Police determined Cassell’s true identity through driver’s registration records.
"He was very nervous, wearing loose fitting shorts with no other clothing, and he had a tremendous amount of Vaseline covering his entire body and the interior of his vehicle," Lansdale police officer George Johnson wrote in the criminal complaint.
Inside Cassell’s vehicle, police found pornographic magazines, sex toys, women’s garter bands and leggings, and a jar of Vaseline, according to the arrest affidavit.
When Cassell was arrested and searched, police discovered he was wearing a pair of women’s thong underwear under his shorts, according to court documents. When questioned by police, he admitted to having a problem masturbating in public places, according to court documents.
According to state law, by pleading guilty to the charge of open lewdness, Cassell admitted that he committed a lewd act, which he knew was likely to be observed by others who would be affronted or alarmed.

"Does anybody here know SpongeBob?" Dr. James C. Dobson, the founder of Focus on the Family, asked the guests Tuesday night at a black-tie dinner for members of Congress and political allies to celebrate the election results.

SpongeBob needed no introduction. In addition to his popularity among children, who watch his cartoon show, he has become a well-known camp figure among adult gay men, perhaps because he holds hands with his animated sidekick Patrick and likes to watch the imaginary television show "The Adventures of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy."
Now, Dr. Dobson said, SpongeBob's creators had enlisted him in a "pro-homosexual video," in which he appeared alongside children's television colleagues like Barney and Jimmy Neutron, among many others. The makers of the video, he said, planned to mail it to thousands of elementary schools to promote a "tolerance pledge" that includes tolerance for differences of "sexual identity."
The video's creator, Nile Rodgers, who wrote the disco hit "We Are Family," said Mr. Dobson's objection stemmed from a misunderstanding. Mr. Rodgers said he founded the We Are Family Foundation after the Sept. 11 attacks to create a music video to teach children about multiculturalism. The video has appeared on television networks, and nothing in it or its accompanying materials refers to sexual identity. The pledge, borrowed from the Southern Poverty Law Center, is not mentioned on the video and is available only on the group's Web site.
Mr. Rodgers suggested that Dr. Dobson and the American Family Association, the conservative Christian group that first sounded the alarm, might have been confused because of an unrelated Web site belonging to another group called "We Are Family," which supports gay youth.
"The fact that some people may be upset with each other peoples' lifestyles, that is O.K.," Mr. Rodgers said. "We are just talking about respect."
Mark Barondess, the foundation's lawyer, said the critics "need medication."
On Wednesday however, Paul Batura, assistant to Mr. Dobson at Focus on the Family, said the group stood by its accusation.
"We see the video as an insidious means by which the organization is manipulating and potentially brainwashing kids," he said. "It is a classic bait and switch."

MORE than two in five young men have faked an orgasm, a survey reveals today.
Although 19 per cent of all blokes have feigned a climax, among those aged 18 to 34 the figure rises to 42 per cent.
But women are the bigger fibbers, with 58 per cent admitting to play acting.
A sex poll of 1,800 people also found 43 per cent of men and 40 per cent of women cheat on partners despite 56 per cent of married people reaching a climax in bed. The same was true of just 37 per cent of unmarried people. And a third of single folk claim they are not having sex at all.
Having children has seen a downturn in the sex lives of 55 per cent of parents, with four per cent complaining it killed it off totally. Sixteen per cent of dads - and nine per cent of all people - have paid for sex.
The average Brit has had between two and five partners, but six per cent of men claim to have had more than 50, the survey adds.
And 44 per cent of men and 19 per cent of women would like more romps.
More than a third of over 60s had the best sex in their 30s. Just one per cent looked back more fondly on love in their teens.
ITV's This Morning polled 1,800 people for its week-long look at sex. Host Fern Britton said: "Sex is the best hobby for a couple. It shouldn't be a taboo, chore or a flop."

SAN FRANCISCO3⁄4 Mercenary Pictures owner and unprecedented three-time
AVN Male Performer of the Year, Lexington Steele, announced legal
victory in the fight to regain lexingtonsteele.com from Russian
Communications, a cyber-squatter, through the efforts of attorney Holly
Pranger of the Pranger Law Group.
Lexington Steele said, “I am pleased with this result. I have been
trying to get the domain back for years. Russian Communications used my
name and my picture on the website, and was using it to sell anything
and everything. I am sure people mistook this for my official website."
Prior to the settlement, Steele operated and continues to operate
lexsteele.com and lexonblondes.com, both being his official presence on
the Internet. BrainCash and SteeleCash administers Steele's sites,
which are doing exceptionally well, he said.
Pranger, principal of the Pranger Law Group and an attorney
specializing in intellectual property, said Steele regained control of
the domain by filing a domain dispute through the Internet Corporation
for Assigned Names and Numbers' (ICANN) rules and submitted to
arbitration through the National Arbitration Forum.
"I know from research that Russian Communications, as well as other
cyber-squatters, are currently sitting on and profiting from the domain
names of famous adult entertainers," she said. "Adult entertainment is
a billion-dollar industry and these domain names are worth a great deal
of money. The entertainers who have worked hard to create the
recognition and goodwill associated with their performer names should
have the right to control how those names and trademarks are used. It
is an atrocity that these porn squatters wrongfully profit from them
and they should be stopped."
The process took about two months, Pranger added, and Steele's
registering his name as a trademark contributed to the judgment in his
favor. She contrasted the ICANN arbitration process, which takes just a
few months and costs under $15,000 to complete, against suing in
federal court, which can easily run over $50,000 to $500,000 in legal
fees and sometimes take years to resolve. Winning in a federal court
allows for recovery of fees and costs associated with the lawsuit,
however, while resolution through ICANN does not.
"The beauty of the ICANN process is that you can go through it and
quickly get the domain name back, but still bring a federal action to
recover your damages,"
She added: "These porn squatters typically use adult performers' names,
like LexingtonSteele.com, to drive traffic to commercial Web sites,
where they usually sell advertising and adult entertainment. The porn
squatters rarely, if ever, have legitimate rights to use the names and
we are usually successful in getting the domain names back to the
owners through the domain dispute process."

BLACK WIDOW SEES LARGE VEGAS TURNOUT

LAS VEGAS —Black Widow's first appearance at the AVN Adult
Entertainment Expo was an outstanding success, Lisa Radamaker, Black
Widow's head of sales, said.
Fans crowded around the booth for autographs and photos of Michaela and
Malou, who will appear in upcoming European titles distributed by Black
Widow, and Jackie Diaz, who appears in Joe "José" Pusher's Pimping
Adventures, also distributed by the company.
"The turnout for the girls was tremendous," Radamaker said. "Despite
the fact we haven't released anything featuring Michaela, Malou or
Jackie yet, we had so many fans who wanted to know who they were and
where they could find them. They were a hit with the media and other
production companies were trying to cast them for their productions."
Trade traffic was just as brisk as the fan turnout. Buyers had no
problems identifying the products distributed by Black Widow, including
the famous GGG line, and looked over the company's latest offering from
MSS, UK Student House, UK Vice Girls, Kinky Wrinkly and British
Lesbians Peeing, and José Pusher's Pimping Adventures.
Radamaker said, "The distributors are enthusiastic about the GGG titles
we've been introducing and told us how their customers are asking for
them by name. Now that they know we're bringing it in, demand for GGG
titles have skyrocketed. In the same way, we're introducing the
distributors, retailers and the customers to the great titles MSS puts
out and the stuff Jose's shooting in East L.A. and we're anticipating

PARANOIA OVER A CARTOON BUTT
Holy mackerel! This FCC crackdown and network self-censorship has got to stop. From the Associated Press...
Fox says it covered up the naked rear end of a cartoon character recently because of nervousness over what the Federal Communications Commission will find objectionable.
The latest example of TV network self-censorship because of FCC concerns came a few weeks ago during a rerun of the "Family Guy" cartoon. Fox blurred out a character's naked butt, even though the image was seen five years ago when the episode originally aired.
"We have to be checking and second-guessing ourselves now, and that's really difficult," Fox entertainment president Gail Berman said Monday. "We have to protect our affiliates."
Fox didn't act on a complaint. But the move happened in the wake of the FCC's October vote to fine 169 Fox stations $7,000 each for airing an episode of "Married By America" that showed people licking whipped cream from strippers' bodies and a man in his underwear being spanked by strippers.
"It's certainly confusing when you have to do something like that," Berman said. "I wouldn't say it was borderline hysteria. It's just that we were trying to find our way and do what's responsible."
PBS executives also said this weekend they will edit out a glimpse of a naked woman in a fictional account of a terrorist "dirty bomb" attack that will be aired next month after being shown first on HBO.

THE TROUBLE WITH so many shows running simultaneously here in Las Vegas is that some companies can book into the wrong show. For example, what exactly does a vibrating ring for your penis have to do with consumer electronics?
The INQ thinks that Create Times Industrial & Trading should have been @ the adult exhibition held in the Sands exhibition centre. Not a booth in the Las Vegas Hilton here @ the CES Show. Perhaps they simply got the wrongng show?
The INQ initially assumed that the company’s products must have either Bluetooth or USB connectivity. But no, it’s just a vibrating ring that you put over your willy. The female sales assistant gamefully suggested we try one. We assume she meant on a finger.
In true British gutter press fashion, the INQ declined her offer, made its excuses and left.
Come to think of it, selling the vibe ring @ CES probably is a smart move. There’s not so much competition here as there would be in the Sands.
